Safety & Reporting

Last updated: July 29, 2026

This page explains how to report content, appeal a moderation decision, or make a complaint about NowhereThen — whether or not you use the app. The app is operated by RadixLux AB (Sweden). Everything on this page goes through one address: contact@nowherethen.com.

If Someone Is in Immediate Danger

Contact your local emergency services first — 112 in the EU, 999 in the UK, 911 in the US and Canada, 000 in Australia, 111 in New Zealand. We are a small messaging service and cannot dispatch help.

Reporting from Inside the App

Reporting in the app is anonymous — your identity is not included in a report, and we don’t record where a report came from. You can:

Reports are reviewed promptly — normally within 24 hours. How report data is handled (and for how long it is kept) is described in the Privacy Policy.

Reporting Without the App

You do not need to be a user to report something. If content in NowhereThen affects you — for example someone tells you about it, or shows it to you — email contact@nowherethen.com with the subject “Report”. Please include as much of this as you can:

One honest limitation: messages in NowhereThen are end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot search or read message content on our servers. We act on what reporters show us — in-app reports carry cryptographic evidence, and a room’s name and description are visible to us directly. If your report concerns something we cannot see, we may ask you (or in-app reporters) for more.

What We Can Do

Under our Terms of Service we have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Depending on what a report shows, we can delete specific messages, remove entire rooms, and bar them from coming back. Room admins can additionally delete messages for everyone in their room. Where the law requires it, we refer reports to the authorities — reports involving the sexual abuse or exploitation of children are referred to the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the relevant national authorities.

Appeals

If your room was removed or your content was actioned and you believe we got it wrong, email contact@nowherethen.com with the subject “Appeal”. Include the room’s name, the approximate place and date, and why you think the decision was wrong. A second review is carried out against the records of the original decision, and we aim to reply within 7 days. Being honest about the mechanics: rooms and messages are deleted permanently, so an overturned decision can’t always restore what was removed — but we will say so plainly, and you are welcome to recreate a room that should not have been removed.

Complaints

Complaints about the service itself — including how we handle reports and our safety duties — go to the same address with the subject “Complaint”. You do not need to be a user. If you are in the EU or the UK, you may also have the right to complain to a regulator in your country.

Law Enforcement

Requests from law enforcement should be directed to contact@nowherethen.com. RadixLux AB is a Swedish company; requests are handled under Swedish and EU law. Note that because of how the service is built, the data we hold is limited — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what exists.
